The Portway Film Fund is a grant programme for Birmingham based filmmakers - serving as a creative fund for aspiring actors, directors, screenwriters, producers, cinematographers etc. By fostering local talent, the fund aims to nurture the creative community, and contribute to the growth of Birmingham's film and media landscape. Through this initiative, Portway Film seeks to champion diverse voices and innovative projects that reflect the unique culture and narratives of the city.

Grants will be awarded 3 times a year - April, August and December. For the first year, each grant is worth a minimum of £500 going up to £1000. The first round of applications start on the 6th of January 2025.
