This is the first music video I’ve ever helped produce and it turned out amazing. I haven’t been involved in filming many things unless it’s a silly YouTube sketch, so this marks my debut piece!

Professionally, this is a huge step forward for me. Shoutout to my friends Theo (who also happens to be the artist this is for) and Ihsan (his manager) for this opportunity.

I think officially I am credited as the director but I don’t really claim that credit. I only created the storyboarding, titlecard and helped shooting a few scenes.  The videographer - Latrell - is amazing at what he does and this video would be nothing without his talent.

You can sense about 5-10% of House Of Portway DNA in this video (when it comes out on Saturday). I think that’s how it should be. I don’t like coming into a project and then just forcing ideas onto my partners. I believe that I should just be there to steer people in the right direction, to just refine their pre-existing ideas. Unless I deem something to be totally unacceptable, I would not like to start again.
